On May 7, one week before the barn raising program, the site where the barn will be raised as an addition to the visitor center is being prepared by the New Jersey Barn Company.

The frame of Bent A is being assembled.  This bent will be attached to the visitor center when it is raised.

One week later, on the morning of May 14, bents A and B are in place.  Workers from the New Jersey Barn Company prepare timbers for the other bents that will be raised during the day.  One of the two gin, or rum, poles that are used with block and tackle to help raise the bents is seen in the foreground with its base locked on the concrete slab.
